Poet’s Notes
I’m returning here to the old question: if we could rewrite our path and past, would we do it? And since we cannot, it is left to us to revise or annotate the how and why of our journey to this station in life.
The image of the beach as an element of time is a familiar one, but I wanted to focus on the creatures that make this landscape their home, and how they travel upon or above it.
Confession: the near-homonyms of literal and littoral were fun to feature in line three.
